New: Peameal Bacon Sandwich
The team at TuckShop Kitchen are excited to launch a new menu item: Peameal Bacon sandwich! Our Chef Jake Taylor is excited to bring his recipe from Newfoundland, where he learned how to perfect his peameal recipe.
Unlike many manufacturers who produce peameal bacon using cornmeal (to cut costs), we have honoured the original Canadian recipe by using peameal to coat our bacon. Cure the bacon for 5-7 days depending on the size, and we’re ready for action.
We’ve combined the bacon with lightly pan fried wilted greens, marinated celeriac, orange cheddar and dijon aioli.
Bring home the (Canadian) bacon!
